Topic summary

The year is 1939. The world is on the brink of a war, one unlike ever seen in human history. The forces of Nazi Germany are poised to invade the sovereign state of Poland. Meanwhile, the Allies seem helpless to deter him in any way. The policy of appeasement championed by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain has failed. Hitler, unstoppable since his conquest of Czechoslovakia and the annexation of Austria, had received little response from the Allies, but they have drawn the line at Poland. If there is an invasion, there will be war in Europe. Citizens of the United States, still in the throes of the Great Depression, hope to avoid war in Europe, as they believe it does not concern them. Their president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, is more understanding of the threat that Germany poses. With the Pacific War already raging, the Empire of Japan has conquered Korean territory, and is invading mainland China, all to achieve its imperialistic goals in the region.

Yet not everything is as it seems, because more poweful forces are at play behind this conflict.

Due to the highly aggressive nature of the war, the Greek gods have come down to Earth to interfere. Their holy sanctuary of Greece is at risk along with their current residency in the United States, as world leaders prepare for war. The deities aim to involve themselves in the current situation, some to further encourage the war, and some to stop it once and for all.
